I called my new site dotplan.space. This implies I should be posting my plans. I haven't yet. So, here goes.

I am working on a synth. Currently doing some research into using an RP2350 to do the actual synthesis, and handle the MIDI or encoder controls. It has two cores - one per task seems to make sense. I'm going to use Rust and Embassy for this, I think.

After that, I intend to have a go at making a digitally controlled, analogue low-pass filter on it. Something akin to that on a 303, with cutoff and resonance. If I can make it sound approximately acidy that'll be a good start. Then I'll see where I can go from there.

It turns out I'm very much not the first person to have this idea. Dmytri Kleiner beat me to it, in 2010, with thimbl:

If I'm going to use this thing for anything I suppose I should adjust my finger daemon so I am able to post without having to use sudo
